I was pretty disappointed at first. It began exactly as I had imagined in a way that prevented me from seeing "The 40 Year Old Virgin" in the first place. However, since everyone raved how funny it was, I decided to give it a chance. It picked up beginning with the condom scene, which marked the start of the relationship with Catherine Keener's character. From that point forward I thought it was pretty funny.
