King Kong (2005)

I've been eagerly awaiting this movie and I was not disappointed. If I had to quibble with something, I thought Ann Darrow fell a little too in love with the ape. I could have been happy with her being sympathetic, concerned or sad for Kong, but what I saw on the big screen was over the top. (I can't recall the treatment in the 1933 original, but it'll be on Turner Classic Movies tomorrow night, so I'll be brushing up real soon.) Other than this minor complaint, I loved it. One thing is for certain, Kong was the least creepy creature on Skull Island.

I'm eager to see it on DVD so I can slo-mo through the scenes with the natives during their sacrifice ritual.

I rate "King Kong" at 4 Boos.
