Shopgirl

I became anxious early when it became clear a romance was developing between the Steve Martin character and the Claire Danes character. Typically I find those older man / younger woman romances that are so popular in Hollywood these days completely unbelievable. I'm talking about Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson in "Lost in Translation." I'm talking about Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt in "As Good As It Gets." However, in "Shopgirl" the age difference actually worked well within the plot. In the end, I liked it very much.
