King Kong (1933)

Having just seen the Peter Jackson remake, watching the original for the first time in decades, and no doubt the first time from start to finish, increased my appreciation of the 2005 remake. I didn't realize how closely the new version honored the original. My only complaint about the 2005 version, was not a problem in the 1933 version. Too bad, as that just makes the problem more significant in Jackson's version.

The 1933 version is pretty good, and stands the test of time. I imagine at the time it came out it was very good.

I rate the 1933 version of "King Kong" at 3 Boos.
