Munich

"Inspired by true events," these are the worst words I can be presented with at the beginning of a movie. If it's a true story, I always want to know more, and typically I'll do some follow-up research. Fiction is fine too, because I'm happy to sit back and let it unfold. But if it's inspired then I don't know what to believe.

Regardless, "Munich" was interesting and well done. It failed in that I was not drawn in to have sympathy for any of the characters. However, it held my interest, was beautifully shot, and overall was well done. It raised lots of good questions, but in the end it didn't engage me.
