Catching Up with the Backlog

I've gotten way behind in recent weeks so let me quickly burn through some things I've seen.

• National Treasure: Book of Secrets: Despite the facts that I saw it on an outdoor inflatable screen, in bad lighting and that it was almost impossible to hear, I got the gist of what was going on. Like the first "National Treasure," it was "The Da Vinci Code" meets "Indiana Jones." If you liked the first one, you'll like this one. 3 Boos.
• What Happens in Vegas: Formulaic raunchy boy-hates-girl, girl-hates-boy, oh-wait-they-really-are-perfect-for-each-other comedy. If you like the formula, you'll like the movie. 3 Boos.
• The Bank Job: This was an interesting effort. Only at the end did I learn that it is supposed to be a true story. If that is the case, then I have to assume they took some big-ass liberties for dramatic effect. If not, then wow! 3 Boos.
